SERGEANT CHRIS BEACH
UPDATE:
(04-23-24): It is with a heavy-heart and great sorrow, that we announce the passing today of Sergeant Chris Beach, following his long and very courageous health battle over the past 5+ years.
Chris was a dedicated family man and dedicated member of the Greece Police Department. He strived to maintain the long and honorable traditions of the police department, as well as maintaining his personal and professional integrity. Though he had a huge fight with his illness, he remained positive, and was able to win many battles, returning to the job he loved, and serving the citizens of the Town of Greece.
The Gumshoe Club wishes to thank each of you for the love and support given to Chris and his family during the many years of Chris' illness. It is because of your love and support, given in so many ways, and by each and every one of you, that Chris and his family have remained strong. Please keep Chris and his family in your continued thoughts and prayers.
Chris Beach is a Sergeant with the Greece Police Department, assigned to the Third Platoon (2 pm to 10 pm shift). He is married with three children, ages 2 and 4, and a third child born on May 7, 2019.
In December, 2018, Chris was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Following his initial chemotherapy treatments, and a nationwide search for a bone marrow donor, Chris received his bone marrow transplant in late March, 2019.
